Give them time. Start with the kit switched off, let them investigate, then introduce the sound gradually. Keep sessions short and stop if they are uncomfortable. Some dogs prefer a regular brush, and that’s okay.

Your dog will still shed. The vacuum collects loose hair during brushing, so you have less of that brushing mess to gather up afterward. It does not replace cleaning your home.

The coat matters as much as the breed. Choose an attachment suited to your dog and use gentle technique. For a dense double coat, a groomer can help you check that you are reaching the loose undercoat without damaging the outer coat. Do not shave a double coat to reduce shedding.

Use it for routine brushing at home. Professional grooming still has a place, especially for mats, coat-specific trimming and jobs you are not comfortable doing.

Follow the guidance for the attachment and your dog’s coat. Everyday brushing and using a deshedding blade are different jobs. Short, gentle sessions are a better starting point than trying to remove every loose hair at once.

You will need to empty the collection bin and care for the brush and filter. Switch off and unplug first, follow the manual, and only wash parts marked washable.
